1. Disconnect Google or a mailbox
In YankyBot, open Settings → Apps, select the connected account and choose Disconnect. This removes the saved integration credentials on that Mac. Repeat on any other Mac where you connected the account.
For Google, also review Google Account → Third-party connections and remove YankyBot. If a revocation request could not reach Google, this completes the revocation directly. For IMAP/SMTP, revoke the app password in your email provider’s security settings if you no longer use it.
2. Remove local history and files
Disconnection leaves your previous chat history, agent memory, tool results and downloaded files in place. Archiving an agent also preserves its data.
To remove all local YankyBot data, quit YankyBot first. In Finder, choose Go → Go to Folder and enter ~/Library/Application Support/YankyBot/. Deleting that folder removes local accounts, connections, settings, agent history, memory and files stored inside it. Move it to Trash first if you want an opportunity to recover it.
This does not remove files saved outside that folder, macOS backups or data maintained by Claude Code, Codex or other AI tools. Review those locations and provider account controls separately. Do not delete your data until you have kept any files you need.
3. Request cloud account deletion
Email myroslav@yankybot.com from your account address with the subject YankyBot data deletion. Say whether you want your optional cloud account, associated device records and support correspondence removed. Do not include passwords or tokens.
We verify the request proportionately, remove applicable records and explain any information we must retain for security or legal reasons. We respond within applicable statutory time limits. Removing a cloud account does not erase files on your Mac or close your Google or email account.
4. Check connected services and recipients
Mail, events, documents and tasks created in Google or another service remain there until you delete them using that service’s controls. Sent mail may remain with its recipients. Content sent to an AI provider follows its retention rules; use its privacy controls or deletion request process for those copies.
For more detail, read the retention section of our privacy policy.
