What the connection enables
| Service | Data and purpose |
|---|---|
| Google account | Your name, email address, profile image and account identifier identify the account you connect. |
| Gmail | Message and thread contents, headers, attachment information and labels let agents search, read, draft, reply and organize mail. Sending through the mail tool requires your confirmation. |
| Calendar | Calendar lists and event details let agents find, create, update and delete events, including meeting links and attendees. |
| Drive, Docs and Sheets | File names, metadata and contents let agents find, read, download and upload files, create and edit documents, and read and write spreadsheets. |
| Tasks | Task lists and task details let agents find, create and complete tasks. |
| Contacts | Names, email addresses and phone numbers let agents find a person you ask about. Contact access is read only. |
| Other email | Your mailbox address, server settings, app password, folders and mail contents enable IMAP reading and organization and SMTP sending. |
Why these permissions
Mailbox organization and replies need Gmail read/write access. Existing-file search and editing across your Drive need broader access than files created by YankyBot alone. Calendar and task changes require write access; Contacts is read only. You can decline individual services in Google’s consent screen and choose which agents can use each connected account.
Connecting from the app catalog opens Google’s account chooser directly. Settings → Apps also lets you select services before connecting. Multiple Google accounts can be connected separately.
Where your data goes
- You authorize YankyBot on Google’s own consent page.
- The Mac app stores encrypted credentials and calls Google APIs for your task.
- Relevant results are sent to the agent’s selected AI provider to produce a response or action.
- Results and useful context can remain in local conversations and memory. Optional device access also passes data through the YankyBot relay.
Integration credentials are not handed to the agent. Task contents can leave the device. Review your AI provider’s data controls and our AI processing disclosure before granting access.
You stay in control
Share each account with all agents or only selected agents. Built-in email sending and guest-notification tools ask you to confirm; other changes follow the permissions you granted. You can stop tasks and disconnect accounts in Settings → Apps. Read the deletion guide to also remove existing copies.
About Google’s verification warning
Google can show “Google hasn’t verified this app” while the app’s requested permissions are unverified. Production publishing status alone does not remove that warning. Only Google can complete its review; these pages do not represent certification or approval.
YankyBot’s use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.
